On Arrival to Bandaranayke International Airport head for approx. 1 ½ hrs drive to Colombo Colombo - You will drive through the commercial area of Fort, so named because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a fort at this point. Drive past Pettah, a noisy Oriental bazaar with a mix of humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques and temples. You will visit a Hindu and Buddhist Temple and the Jumi Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque. You will continue with the tour through the Wolfendhal Dutch Church, Hulftsdorp Law Courts, through the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, and on to the Independence Square, Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall. Afterwards transfer to the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Dambulla en route visiting Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Approx. 02 ½ hrs drive. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. The number of elephants has increased to more than 40 now, including baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as the babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programe. A unique experience never to be missed.

After breakfast climbs the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Approx.1 ½ hrs drive to Sigiriya.
Sigiriya - is home to the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour. Evening transfer to Polonnaruwa for sightseeing, it was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th - 13th C.A.D Great revival was achieved in the country, politically, economically and socially during the period of Kings Vijayabahu 1, Parakramabahu 1 and Nissankamalla of the Polonnaruwa period. The monuments are better preserved than at Anuradhapura. Parakrama Statue, Royal Palaces, Audience Halls, Vata-da-ge, Thuparama, Rankoth Vehera, Kiri-Vehera, Gal-Vihara, Lankathilaka and Tivanka Image House are some of the interesting monuments here. After breakfast transfer to Dambulla & visit Dambulla rock temple. It is famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Later proceed to Kandy, en route visit a *Spice Garden at Matale - you will see many spice gardens at Matale where Cinnamon, Cardamom, Pepper Creepers and all other spice trees, plants and creepers are planted for visitors to see them. Spice products are also available for those who would like to buy them. At all Spice Gardens visitors are taken round explaining each tree and plant and at the end explaining the use of them in food preparations. Also visit Batik Factory - where you can see the manufacture of beautiful Batik prints. Kandy - the hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Temple of the Sacred Tooth.

After breakfast visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens spread in 147 acres; Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens. Evening at leisure in the hotel.

After having breakfast transfer to Nuwara Eliya visiting a tea estate & factory en route.
Approx. 2 ½ hrs drive it is - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island. All around Numara Elisa you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. Evening commence city tour in Nuwara Eliya. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
After Breakfast transfer to Yala en route visiting Ella, approx. 4 ½ hrs drive. *Ella - on the Bandarawela - Wellawaya road is the Ella gap with a view of the Kataragama range of mountains at the distance. The Patna grasslands, Ravana Ella waterfalls (1080 ft. high) and Randeniwela monument could be seen on this route. Evening Safari at Yala National Park by Jeep. Yala National Park - is a haven for Fauna both indigenous and migrant Bird concentrations are by the Lagoons. Salvers. Here are thousands of flamingos. Whether it is birds or animals you have them all at Yala.

After breakfast leave for Kalutara via Galle, approx. 5 ½ hrs drive to Galle. Afternoon check - in to the hotel & Evening leisure. Galle - 72 miles from Colombo. This is the most ancient and important harbour of the country, until the Colombo Harbour was established. Galle is identified as the ‘Tarshis’ of the Bible. Most of the existing buildings dates to Dutch Period. The Bastians are still using Dutch names such as Zwart, Akesloot, Aeloes etc. Famous for lace making, Ebony carving, Gem cutting & polishing, out on shooting chanced on Numara Elisa plains, and Sir Edward Barnes investigated on it. Transfer to Kalutara. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
